Due to a huge demand, we are not in a position to accept any new applications until further notice. Please check the website for updates. Should anyone wish to take up rowing as a competitive sport with a view to racing in Ireland in 2017, Neptune is open to Novice Men and Women.
Are you 18+ and interested in Rowing?
Neptune Rowing Club is now offering a “Learn to Row” course, where you will:
- Learn the basics
- Give you confidence in all types of boats
- Give you the opportunity to progress towards racing level
If competition is not for you, you can continue rowing as a leisure activity!
Our “Learn to Row” courses are aimed at:
- Men and women aged 18+ interested in rowing.
- Ability to swim (mandatory)
How does this work?
You sign up for 10 lessons (cost €100), which you can take whenever you have the time to do it. It is preferable to do these lessons in as short a period as possible to allow you to progress your learning. The only condition is you must be able to swim.
What happens after the 10 lessons?
When you complete your lessons we hope you’ll want to continue and become part of Neptune Rowing Club.
If you wish to continue as a competitive member you will then transfer to the novice/beginner section and undergo training to bring your physical and technical abilities up to racing at regattas.
How do I join?
The “Learn to Row” programme is currently open.
